And a couple of shots for the planted tank people around these parts. I love how happy and healthy these Anubias are in this tank!

Re: Scoobs Multiple Tank Log
Nice tanks,I remember the name from the old forum. What's your maintenance schedule on the discus tank? Thank you :) Minimal to be fair. Theres enough flow and skittish movement of the fish every now and again (they're so easily spooked) to ensure most of the detritus is sucked into the filter! So,...

Re: My Betta tank.
Three in my 34l Flex, lights are on for circa 12 hours per day, if not longer, not once have I seen ANY Algae! The added bonus is they don't leave nasty white eggs everywhere and, if they end up berried, they'll produce some free live food for your Betta.

I had no issues with the original sponges but did replace with pond sponges after a while but only because I wanted to make more space for biological media as it was being used on a tank with two Goldies!

Re: My Betta tank.
Every Betta is different, that's the problem. In the wild they're generally very lonesome creatures that will attempt to tear apart anything that encroaches on it's territory! Over all, it's trail and error. 60l isn't really big enough for your usual Cory but then Cory require sand to thrive in any ...

Re: How to choose filter for aefreshwater 900?
Oase Biomaster are a very well made filter, they are German engineered after all! I ran a 350 on my 240l for a while and only stopped using because I upgraded to an FX6. The pre filter on them is an excellent and easy to clean piece of kit that makes maintaining the filter easier and should allow fo...

Re: My Betta tank.
Heading in the right direction yes :) The 'mould' by the way is just biofilm feeding off nutrients from the wood etc that will diminish over time! Have you considered throwing in some decent sized Amano once the tank is cycled? They'll keep it nice and clean for you and, if they're of a decent size ...

Re: Co2 system?
There's a couple of good online suppliers that have full kits. Aquaessentials, Aquarium Gardens and CO2art are a few I can think of. If you have somewhere local that can refill fire extinguishers for you then consider this and get yourself the appropriate adapter as that type of size canister will l...
