Can't remember what you have, Neocaridina shrimp eggs hatch every 28 - 30 days. If your fish are small and the shrimp have plenty of hiding spaces many should survive.

Does the ph drop overnight if you leave tap water in a receptacle overnight, what is the ph in the tank normally? I'm wondering if there's something else going on here....
