Won’t that high temperature harm the fish? I have panda corydoras in there.

Temp is currently 25.C

Short term (eg 14 days) it shouldn’t bean issue, its only an issue long term as it tends to speed up metabolisms and cause premature ageing. You would have to increase gradually so as not to shock the fish.

Paraguard is quite good if you can't get the Esha Exit, if you decide to go that way.

I understand modern thinking is raising temp is not worth it. Many strains may be resistant, it reduces amount of oxygen in water, there are better options.

I went with interpet white spot treatment as that’s all they had at the shop (well there was another brand that I hadn’t heard of). Started the treatment on Wednesday - by Thursday evening most of the fish looked better and were behaving as they usually do (rummies were actually schooling again). Second treatment due on Sunday.

Have also increased temp slightly to 26.5 and fed fresh garlic with each meal.

Feeling more optimistic at least!

(Also looking at nano tanks...) 😅

Hello everyone, hope you’re well.

It’s been almost a year since I last posted (although seems like 12).

My tank survived the white spot thankfully. Since last year I have lost 3 bentosi tetra and I think a couple of panda corydoras.

All 15 rummynose are still present, as are the 20 harlequin rasbora (so robust!)

I added 10 more Amano shrimp earlier this year. They have cleaned a lot of algae off my plant leaves. I have also recently added some red plants, fingers crossed they establish.

Contemplating whether to get something else to add to the tank. I upgraded the filter last year so I have capacity.

I also intend to phase out the horrible white sand (my rookie mistake).
