Since I joined this forum I've learned alot and seen some amazing looking set ups.

My temperate tank is changing already so I'm starting a log. First post is how my tank was when I signed up.

A 64l love fish panarama. Fluval u2 filter and eheim 100 air pump. Pets at home "bonsai" java fern (I like it). Some fake grass type stuff.

Fish count. 1 weather loach, 3 long fin leopard danios, 2 rosy barbs, 4 white cloud mountain minnows, 2 white widow tetra
2 Mickey mouse and a tri-colour platie.

I now know it's not full. Thanks Si4gekos.

A few days after joining we got 2 more rosy barbs and 3 Cory's, 1 albino, 1 peppered and one bronze.

I'm already obsessed with our tank. Its great to have another hobby for when I cant go out catching fish.
64l kitchen tank: 16 golden tetra.
5ft 425L: 7 blue angel fish, 30 rummie nose tetra, 20 black neon tetra, 1 longfin bristlenose plec, 2 corydoras sterbai, 2 SAE.

My water tests have been fine since I added the extra fish so today I went to my not so LFS and got 2 more Cory's. A pepper and a bronze. I also bought 2 anubis to replace the fake grass stuff and the lad threw in 4 little water lettuce.

I put the Cory's in then took out my fake plants. The waste that came out of them was terrible, so I planted the anubis and done a 50% + water change.

Next I got the floating ring I made out of some air line, a sucker cup with a clip on it and a wall plug to push both ends of the pipe over.

Much better than having my water lettuce swirl around the tank.

That's one of my rosy barbs coming to see the food man in the photo.

Better to stay slightly under stocked, easy to keep on top of the parameters that way.

My only concern is your weather loach they can get 10 inches in captivity, Rosy barbs have a habit of getting bigger too or maybe this is just a very good excuse to get a bigger tank!
WARNING - DO NOT BREED, FEED OR PET THE PUDDLE! :dodgy2:

Cheers Martin. I'm aware or how big the loach can get. He will be coming out when he gets too big. Either that or I'll go with your idea.

That's definitely all the stock that's going in the tank.

My next problem is I'm regretting my choice of substrate.

Be careful you don't stunt the loach's growth by not moving it on soon enough. ;)
I sense a 4' or, even better for it, 5' upgrade....... :D
