Wild Bettas anyone?

Post by Rdel »

Has anyone here any experience of keeping wild bettas?

I'm looking at betta albimarginata, pallifina, imbellis and brownorum and thinking maybe a species only tank.
I was put on this earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. At this rate I may never die!

Are you thinking separate tanks for each species?
600L - Rio Guaporé themed
7 x Biotodoma Cupido, 4 x Laetacara dorsigera, 2 x Apistogramma trifasciata (wild), 20 x Gymnocorymbus ternetzi, 18 x Hyphessobrycon eques, 30 x Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi, 17 x Corydoras sterbai, 11 x Corydoras caudimaculatus

I'm thinking to get one species only. A group for the 55gal tank.

Sounds interesting.
If I still had my (very) old fish books I could have been more help, but there are (I believe) a couple of good labyrinth-based fish sites......if only I could remember which they are as I don't have them stored in my favourites for no apparent reason....
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

I think Wholesale Tropical in Bethnal Green had some in a few months ago. Might be worth a call.
