Just crush a quarter of a clove (not bulb ) into the tank.
They should eat the pieces and the juice will do them good anyway.

Remember : if using garlic for medicinal reasons (rather than as an appetite-stimulant) it's important that the crushed clove is left for five or ten minutes before putting it in your tank.

Sorry to hijack, just wanted to ask..think I’ve already ages back and forgotten ....can you use the dried granulated stuff, as long as it has no other added ingredients and would you class this as a normal feed, meaning not to give anything else ?Vale! wrote: Remember : if using garlic for medicinal reasons (rather than as an appetite-stimulant) it's important that the crushed clove is left for five or ten minutes before putting it in your tank.

No to the granulated, it doesn't have the juice which is the main thing for the medical use and it often has salt added as well.
I wouldn't just feed garlic. Soaking the food in it is a good way of getting them to consume some if they won't take the flesh.
