Thought it best to get a QT for the marine. As fish will need to be in QT for a couple of weeks at least I didn’t want to have the plastic box on the floor like we do for Hospital Tank so found this locally on eBay. Managed to squeeze it in next to the big marine so they will be able to see each other whilst waiting to move into the big house. Will also be easier for me to monitor health through glass than an opaque plastic box.

Got back late with it so no idea if any of it works yet or even everything that’s in there!! Will fiddle with it tomorrow :swim:
[/quote]I take it you will run traces of copper in the QT tank for stock that can take it as 2 weeks in QT isn't long for marine.

Things like Whitespot ect require fallow for 6 weeks and trust me I had dealt with that a few times moving fish to QT resulted first time in a complete wipeout second time I lost a few when moving to QT and the 3rd time I got it thought sod it they staying in main tank fed them like they was competing in worlds strongest man and they all survived and never see Whitespot ever again

@"Marty.h" length of QT will depend on where I get the stock from. My nearest LFS keeps all stock in QT for at least 3 weeks before sale (I’ve seen the setup) another only for 4 days. So from nearest I’ll do 2-3 weeks. Others longer depending. I will only treat if necessary.

@"Jen1981" there’s a matching bottle on the other side of the unit ;) need an excuse to ‘celebrate’ something to open one up.

I wonder how long it stays a QT before it becomes a permanent tank ;)

Well it would seem my Nassarius snails have been having a bit of nooky

Crappy pic but couldn’t focus on the glass very well (despite my phone only focusing on the glass when I don’t want it to  )

Usually they do! You'll see hundreds of little white snails over the rockwork at night if you shine a torch in :D
