Is it one of those floating tanks? Then it should have holes/slots in the sides which allows the water to flow through.

I would drop the temp a little, to around 24ish, this should hell the fry grow without having too much of an adverse affect on the adult metabolisms.
If they are being kept in the hatchery in the main tank then you dont need to worry about cycling as the filter in the main tank is already cycled and will deal with the small amount of extra from the fry (if its even noticeable ). If your on about gas/air exchange i used to set my hatchery up so that the ripples of the water went over the hatchery but the fry couldn’t escape. But most hatcheries have vents in them which would allow oxygenated water from the main tank to enter.
I used to have to be careful when doing water changes, then we bought the small 15l qt tank

Yes, it's a floating hatchery - I've set it up so it's attached to the wall of the tank with suction cups. I bought it from pets-at-home and it looks just like this one.
As for vents, well, I didn't take a good look at it, but it definitely has the vertical ribbing on the end walls, which might be vents (I really really hope they are vents on my model) I guess they must be very fine slits to not allow the fry to escape.

Yeah the ribbing will be small slits to allow flow but prevent fry from getting out. (ps that pic is a recipe for disaster! )
I have the same one
