Hi there, I have a male D/G he is not eating, was hiding at the back of the tank, now he is at the top stationary and gulping air, he lost his mate awhile back  but he has been OK except for the last 48hrs. how long does he have to suffer.

The smallest angel keeps giving him a nudge.

Are you sure the angel isn't bullying, and that's why the gourami is hiding?
What are all the water parameters?
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

Hi, no he doesn’t seem to be bullying he is only as big as 5p piece, he seems to be just touching him, the D/G doesn’t seem to mind, he seems more frightened of me, when he catches sight of me he goes to the bottom of the tank and hides in the plants, he hasn’t eaten for 4 days now, and he looks thinner, he used to be up at the top waiting for his food he is not a happy fish.

I did a very severe pruning of the plants last week, would that effect him, all the other fish seem OK, all the water parameters are OK.

Have you soaked the food in garlic (fresh and crushed)? That will stimulate the appetite.
