Are you topping the ammonia up to 2ppm? They might shoot back up a bit if you added tok much. Also whats the ph?

Ps sorry i’ll get a grip of myself shortly and get things right! :D

Yes, still topping up the ammonia to 2 but to be fair I may actually have gone a bit over last night. PH is about 8 so pretty high, if anything it's up a bit than the start but I've not been checking pH that often.

And no need to apologise. All the help I've had from yourself and others on here has been amazing.

Thanks

Do a 25% water change, top up to 2ppm (not more.... ;) ) and see what happens.

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help with setting up the tank. It's now been fully cycled for a few days so time for a big water change to lower the nitrates and possibly a shopping trip today (if not, then definitely Friday)..... Again, thanks for all the help!

Do a 90% water change. Leave it a few days then do another water change but smaller like 30%

Hi all,
Hopefully a nice easy one. OK, so I now have in our 120l tank 9 tetras, 6 cherry barbs, 1 male dwarf gourami. Today I will be adding 6 harlequin rasboras and in the near future will be getting 6 smaller corydoras (type yet undecided). According to aqadvisor we should still have a bit more stocking space.

On top of this we would also like to add one more fish of a gourami type size. I've read adding either another male of one female one be a great option.

Can anyone recommend anything?

Thanks

I wouldn't add any more gourami with the dwarf, especially if it's a male - they will fight.
Do you know where he was bred? A lot of those from the Far East and Czech Republic are bred in baths full of meds and have little or no immune systems, this leads to the iridovirus which is incurable and will pass to other gourami..... Keep your eye out for problems.
