After reading a recent post about stag horn algae, just wanted to check that what I think are roots, are actually roots.
The plant is microsorum pteropus narrow.
Are these roots?

Yup! Roots, Java fern babies grow from underneath a leaf on the mother plant

Thanks chaps.
I thought they were, but just wanted to check. Almost all of my plants have grown a lot since planting them in January. Soon I’ll need to start trimming quite a few of them, a couple have almost grown out of the water, and the moss is getting very big.
My favourite plant is the elocharis, but only because a couple of the corydoras have discovered they can use it like a hammock. Must be comfy for a snooze
