I converted from tropical to marine a few years ago.
Started by converting a interpet 48L fishpod, then moved to a marina style 95.
Consists of:
100W Heater
2 x Fluval Sea CP1 powerheads
54W led strip light
Fluval Sea PS1 protein skimmer
Few kg of live rock
Fine crushed coral substrate
I'm planning on adding a new more powerful powerhead to create a bit more flow and turbulence soon to reduce some of the dead spots and, to also modify the lid of the tank allowing me to make use of the mounting clip for the skimmer in the place of where the old tropical hob filter used to live.
Here are a few pics.
When I first set the marina tank up (the two clowns are out on this one, the second one is half behind the rock)
Featherduster
The current resident hermits
I had the fright of my life when I thought my cleaner shrimp was dead, as he left a perfect shedded skin
I'll post more once I sort the rest of the photos out.
Thanks for viewing!
