Hi guys,
Just a quick question about one of my new guppies. She has been spending a lot of time near the top of the tank, she's done this from day 1.
None of the rest do this. I read it can be lack of oxygen but she isn't gasping for air with her mouth, she's just swimming parallel to the waters surface. She does venture down and explores rest of the tank but yeah she's up the top a lot too.
Any ideas?
Thanks

....and the hardness of the water?
Guppies are mainly top level feeders, so spend a lot of time at the top (usually begging ).
Females also go to the top looking for cover either when harassed by too many males or about to drop fry.
They do tend to sleep at the bottom though, but not always.

.
She's the black one.
All females no males. Decor is just plastic plants, coral effect rock, hiding caves and an air stone.Gingerlove05 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 22:25 pm Also what is the mix of the group of guppies male:female? And the decor of the tank?
Water hardness is around 7-9
