Siphoned the poor chap up (accidentally), but he buried himself again so no ill effects it seems. Not sure if he's alone yet.

Am I about to get infested? Any suggestions?

Don't overfeed.
I don't have a problem with snails, they're part of the environment, but overfeeding certainly boosts the population.

I don't mind snails either (I was going to get some nerites anyway), just surprised! Especially as it's do big, but never noticed it before. So what is it?!

I don't think I overfeed, although maybe I've been pushing too much down for the corries (they don't seem to eat the spirulina wafers I give them).

And it's unlikely that I have 1 snail, right?

I'm not surprised the corys don't eat the veggie wafers as they need good meat protein. ;)
It is unlikely you have 1 snail, they'll be buried in the substrate (they are Malaysian trumpet snails by the way). ;)

LFS said they feed their Corys the wafers, but yeah I push bug bites/flakes/frozen larvae etc down to them. Although not much gets down that far...

I use fishscience corydoras tabs - they seem love them and they sink straight down!

Snail most likely came in on plants tbf - its not impossible but unlikely you have just 1.

I found one in my discus tank the other day which is interesting seen as alot of people say you cant keep snails in 30c water!
