The original 6 were more purple, which led me to think they may have been wild stock, but the progeny have got bluer.
I don't think anyone knows exactly why that happens with tank bred ones, could be the diet I suppose like flamingos......??????

Proper pout on that big one on the left in the last pic (male? Cant remember off hand which eye colour is which :D)

Blue male, green female.
I think it's a male.
I've lost some more of the originals lately, not sure if any of them are now.

They'd be fine, they're actually a little slower, but a lot bigger. :)

A couple more from this year - I've only just put the stuff on the PC to sort out..... :rolleyes:

The last pic isn't great, but they look like a line of "Donkeys". ;)

They're all aquarium-grown now, I'm pretty sure the original 6 have all passed.
Amazingly, they still have a purple tinge and haven't gone the blue that normal aquarium-bred fish do.
