Growth on goldfish

Fish have started feeding this week and I've noticed an ugly growth on one of the fish, any ideas what this is? Looks nasty :cry:

Is it some sort of parasite perhaps?

Don't know, it's just one fish out of 12.

I can't really tell, if it's not a parasite is there any damage there giving a secondary fungal problem?

Looks to me as a secondary infection. Treat with with salt, either in the pond or salt baths.

You can use table salt and which can be a very effective treatment. :]
