Anyone know who/what my new guests are? There is a translucent film appearing around the driftwood in the tank. Also, really hard to get a good picture because they are tiny, but there are some very small creatures swimming around in there that I did not invite. Looks like something the goldfish will eat, is it safe to just put them in?

It's normal for that to happen with new wood, it will go away after a while.
As for the little swimming things I'd imagine they will make a good snack as long as they can't possibly be parasites.

Thanks, they look a bit big for parasites but I'm not sure how to tell

Neither am I, I'd get googling and see if anything looks similar. Unless you can get a clearer picture and someone here will probably recognise it.

They’re not parasites. They’re food, whatever they are.
I don't keep fish, I keep water. Water keeps fish.

Fish in!

First impression is that bullying problem is worse than before. Hoping that's just the stress of the change and will settle down. Or maybe they are actually trying to mate. There are some white dots on the gills of a couple of them.

Thanks! I had wondered if they were hungry, but they have a lot of plants in there and I fed twice a day instead of once for the last two days. I'm lowering the temp and seeing if that helps a bit
