They were tasty in the end. I missed the first couple of days of them so I'm not surprised. I thought they'd dwindled a bit this morning when I looked.
I think @black ghost meant the adults look a little skinny, you can see a bit of a dip in the middle where their stomachs are.
I hope you didnt eat them though 😳

No I meant the fry. This is by far their fastest growth phase, and they’ll go through calories like there’s no tomorrow, doubling in weight every few days. They need a lot of food, relatively speaking. Their little bellies should be constantly full.

It’s normal for parents to get a bit thin (not that these are), because their priority now is protecting the fry and leading them to food.

I meant that the adults found the fry tasty. I can confirm that I have not tasted anything from my tank, except the water when I sucked on the hose for too long.

The adults are a good weight, but they probably haven't had entirely full bellies this week as they have been a bit neglected. Possibly why they decided to eat the fry.

Yes, all disappeared in about an hour yesterday afternoon.

Probably. My fish all have the horn at the moment. I have CW140 eggs again today, but infertile again.
