Agreed, even if they're tank bred they won't breed successfully above 8dGH.....
If at first you don't succeed....

I think I have finally found out what my rogue 'Wapoga' was... a female Kamaka Rainbowfish (Melanotaenia Kamaka)!Unalome wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2023 12:57 pm I've noticed that 1 of the 5 new Wapoga Rainbows looks very different to the others as it's colour is grey/blue/silver (hadn't noticed in the shop when they bagged them up)... Can anyone help me identify this one if it's perhaps a different colour variation of the Wapoga or a different type of Rainbow all together?
Here's a new photo of her in all her glory;
My red rainbows are starting to really colour up now;
And finally here is a new photo of the current king of the tank;

Been a few months since my last update, nothing new to report except that man my rainbows seem like they are growing so slowly! Am I right in saying that Rainbows should reach their full size at around 1 year?
Here is a cool action shot I took yesterday of my dominant male Boesmani stretching his fins...
