Hello, my Betta sent me to say hello! He is a blue veil tailed betta, bought in August and has grown from 1" to 1.5" or a bit bigger. He lives in a 25 litre tank on his own and spends his time supervising my gardening (Anubia, Java fern, and hornwort) and building beautiful bubble nests. He is passionate about bloodworm, enjoys Hikari Gold and digs Catapa leaves. He often tears his fins, but as he is young, they have been mending. I worry though, and his water is quite tannin coloured with Catapa. He was glass surfing so much at one stage that he stopped eating, but frosted glass film seems to have helped with that. I also have 5 cherry shrimp and two Amanos in a 19 litre tank which I never feed. The abundant algae on the glass, plants and hornwort needle soup keep their tummies full. I lost two and battled with vorticella before I cashed in the shrimp pellets. The tank gets lots of morning sun and has a thriving algal colony. I had a mystery snail
but he died sadly. I have about 12 pea mussels, two Scottish trapdoor snails and one ramshorn snail in a 12 Litre tank.
