Additional Info About Stephen
Aquarium Size: 600
Location: Herefordshire
Bio: About myself & my history:-
I was born & live in Hereford, Herefordshire in 1959 (my blood is Welsh).
I went to an excellent Grammar school (1970-1975)
I was employed as an area sales manager for many years with different national companies.
In 1998 I was diagnosed with a spinal condition (narrowing of spinal canal and degeneration of spine) which ended my working career.
I struggle to walk, struggle to lift and other things and I am in pain daily, some days are worse than others.
I am married to Gillian (Gill), we only got married on 1st March 2017 after a long (over 14 years) engagement.
She often tells me off for doing things that cause me additional pain or that I will pay the price for afterwards but I always say "no pain, no gain".
I won't allow my disabilty to control my life although I do know my limitations but to achieve anything I do push those limitations.

My hobbies & interests:-
Tropical fish keeping

Tropical fish:-
I only started keeping tropical fish back in July 2013. My first tropical fish tank was a Fluval Roma 240.
As with all my interests and hobbies I spend a lot of time reading and researching. I have probably spent close to 10,000 hours reading and researching about tropical fish.
I have datasheets which list over 17,000 fish species with information about pH, water hardness, water temperature, size etc.. I have also datasheets of fish species found in countries (especially south American countries). I have also broken those datasheets down to create new datasheets of fish species found in certain rivers within the countries.

RE: Temp for Neon Tetra 2
Thread Subject Forum Name
Temp for Neon Tetra Characins
Post Message
I have Neon tetra (Paracheirodon innesi) listed as preferring tank water temperature between 20-26C (68-78F) but long-term I would suggest something below 24C, as previously suggested 22/23C would be ideal but 24C should also be fine when allowing for the fluctuations.
Unlike their relatives (Cardinal tetra & Green neon tetra) which prefer the temperature a little higher (above 24C), Neon tetra prefer it cooler (below 24C) long-term.

Hope it helps
