Re: Hot weather
Nothing, I leave it as it is. Me too. Although it may get warm (up to 30C on a hot Summer day) I don't really worry. In their natural habitat the water temperature varies anyway, so a seasonal variation in our aquariums shouldn't really be a concern. The only thing that may be of concern is oxygena...

Re: Snail Attack!
Snails likely came in with the plants. This is why I only buy plants from reputable sellers like Aquarium Gardens , Aqua Essentials or Pro Shrimp which come chemical free and 99.9% snail free. Once you have got snails it is almost impossible to get rid. Traps, lettuce leaf, chemicals etc.. don't rea...

Re: Traveling with fish
I would be a little concerned if the area you are moving to has a significant water difference. Example: Moving from a hard water area to a soft water area (or visa versa). At this time of year the temperature outside is quite good for transporting fish, unlike winter when it can be quite cold. try ...

Hi and welcome to the forum :) I echo what VikingMummy2015 had said. Get the largest aquarium that is in your budget range, the bigger the aquarium the more options available. Water hardness is a key factor when selecting fish (there are soft water fish species and hard water fish species); which t...

Re: Stephen's new 425L SeaBray Elite tank log
Just checked my aquarium and I have pleco eggs.
The eggs are just outside one of the caves and stuck to a loose piece of root.
I will keep an eye on them.
