You don't need Co2 injection to grow healthy aquarium plants.
However some plants species like Blyxa, Micranthemum or Pogostemon can be tricky to grow in the aquarium and for these Co2 can be beneficial for good growth.

Empty time! I'd wouldn't fill it up or trust it really.
Either you'll have to get it repaired or braced.

Re: no heater/pump for 2 hours
They'll be OK, although I'd be tempted to do a partial water change afterwards.
What I don't understand is why power needs to be off for two hours. Our tenants have never had the electricity turned off during an annual EPC test.

Re: In The Shallows
The older female endlers seem to be dwindling a bit now, and I think I’ve lost one of my older harlequins, which have got to be 7+ years old now. Aquarium kept fish will always have the same behaviour, so care must given to the amounts they receive. Excess food = Means excess waste, nutrients causes unwan...

Before I get stuck in to building up my substrate, wonder if I could lean on you guys for some advice and guidance... So I have some egg crate, as although I don't have it yet I'm looking at getting quite a large rock which will have a lot of other smaller ones around it, and I read this would help...

Do I take it the aquatic / pet store told you this was OK to do this? Unfortunately, many store don't give very good advice to new fishkeeper...
