Re: Zebra's tank log

So update. Within 24 hours I caught the female guppy chasing and killing a shrimp. So she went back to the shop who was more than happy to swap her back. But I've also got some good news. Re: Zebra's tank log

I did it again :( Gone and gotten two cherry shrimp (LFS kept on insisting on calling them bloody mary's but same thing stronger colour), they're just so awesome for tidying up the plants. Will get some when in stock at LFS :D

Literally a guy who likes fish that started selling them to others with the same love. Knowledgeable about much but always listens for new advice. Will happily order in...

Re: Why can't I keep floating plants alive?

Just a type of divider you can make to either make space around the splashing water or to keep the plants at a quieter end of the tank. I've done it before with suction cups and sewing string or fishing line :)

Re: Why can't I keep floating plants alive?

I always struggled because I had too high of a flow which would ruin the roots or I'd get the leaves wet which a lot of the floating plants can't deal with. Maybe that's what's going on with you??

Re: Feeding Fry

They used to be available, but they do seem to be like sky hooks or hen's teeth lately. There is some stuff called Protogen, but I don't know what it actually is........ I thought you were pulling my leg, but no your right and whats more I'd seen the packet among the foods before and I hadn't taken...

Re: Feeding Fry

I understand the infusoria and worms are best. But this would cause no end of agro especially if anything starts to get smelly. Simply seeing what other options there are out there that could support them. Until their big enough for things like damphina ect
