Re: Snakeskin barb bully

The other fish will want it a bit warmer, so maybe just lower it to 24C/25C, except for the neons and corys who would prefer it around 22C.

Re: Snakeskin barb bully

Welcome to the forum. :)
I also suggest turning the temp down to 23C, that will take the spawning sparring out of the equation.
I always suggest groups of 10+ with most barbs, the aggression is calmed right down as a rule then.

Re: Back in the Game tank log

It may just be the fact that they didn't enjoy being moved before they were totally established.
The ammonia munchers are much more "uppity" than the nitrite ones. ;) :D

I use granules nowadays Jeff, had far less digestive problems with the fish.

Re: FishyMcFishFaces Tank

You need smooth things with bettas, because of their fins, so dragon and lava rock are not recommended.
He'll want broad-leaved plants to rest on.
Not sure about white sand for bettas, they tend to jump anyway and will be spooked easier with light coloured substrate.

Re: Black spot on plants

If it is hard then I would suggest shrimp for the bottom if the fish you want will all be small(ish). The only bottom feeding fish that will take hard water long-term are either Synodontis (which will be too big for your tank) or anchor catfish which are small, hide and are difficult to find in shop...
