Re: DuzMano's Leddy 60XL 72l

If you look at a small group of minnows and a small group of one of the rainbows you'd be surprised how full the tank will look. ;) I'm always reluctant to suggest a "centrepiece fish" for any tank under 3'. Tha anchors are fine if you make sure they get enough food and the tank is cycled....

Re: DuzMano's Leddy 60XL 72l

I wouldn't try keeping honeys or loaches in your hard water, I can't keep them long-term in 8dGH. Also the minnows will want it much cooler than gourami and loaches. I presume you mean cherry shimp and not cherry barbs, loaches will probably have a go at shrimp as well as snails. Sorry...I would loo...

Re: Grey patch on goldfish

Welcome to the forum. :) It looks to me like there's several things going on here. The main thing is to get rid of ammonia and get the filter/tank cycled. I'd suggest water changes with Seachem Prime and Seachem Stability, I'm only suggesting the Seachem products as they will work together, any othe...

Re: Stocking advice for 80L Tank

At least the red cherries would be ok with tap water in another tank.... ;) :D Just to explain in more detail about the shrimp, caradina will need soft water with a source of calcium, and neocaradina hard water and shouldn't need a calcium supply unless it's not that hard - you should be ok though w...

Re: Stocking advice for 80L Tank

Welcome to the forum. :) All the fish are soft water fish, the cherry shrimp are hardwater shrimp, you'd need crystal reds for soft. (This is why your water hardness is important - to cut down on possible problems) As the tank is only 2' long I would suggest that rummies are too active for anything ...

Re: Stephen's new 425L SeaBray Elite tank log

Are the caves blocked at one end? I can't work out why they're laying outside if they are, although mine lay in the flowerpot which has the large entrance and the small hole at the "bottom" (which is obviously at the back due to how the pot is situated ;) ). I don't know how many goes they...

Re: 240L Juwel Rio

Agreed, the peppers are the problem with temperature as they really don't agree with long-term higher temps. (Sterbai are ok with it.)
Can you swap them for aeneus?

Re: Snail Attack!

There's some good points in that and some WOW! ones... Never keep loaches and corys together as the loaches can hurt the corys with their opercular spines, especially when feeding. It also doesn't mention water hardness, just ph (which isn't particularly relevant), and the temperature range is meh -...
