Re: Staffylovers multiple tank thread
Sarah to be fair mine were fine in the 100l with other fish - danio's/ glass fish, but the male especially rests on the substrate a fair bit rather like a Betta would do, they didn't cope well in the 200l as they are just not that active, nice fish but hard to fit into a community set up. fr499y ar...

Re: Red cherry shrimp eggs
I have kept Scarlett Badis before I would not recommend them for a community, they are tiny and shy and slow eaters they do not compete well with others, there is a larger version called Badis Badis or Blue Perch that might be more suited but I've not kept those myself, if Harlequins are suitable ex...

Re: Hi! New and confused
Tannins are generally beneficial to fish, I believe they have anti bacterial properties, also fish prefer the dim lighting that you get by default, it has the potential to lower Ph but you would need a lot, still personally I would not leave it to get to that stage, fish do not like swings in Ph, if...

Re: Staffylovers wildlife pond
This afternoon was nice enough to catch up in the garden despite the wind, at least it had stopped raining, Made a start on the pond, removed some debris from the water and dead sticks from the plants, Went through all the pots, any showing life signs were put back in, some needed re potting or more...
