Re: Any idea what these are?!?
Can you get a closer picture of just one of them?
I would agree from that picture that they are bladder snails (they do move about surprisingly quickly!)
Unless you can get a better picture which proves otherwise.

Had exactly the same with mine it was very frustrating but for me an excellent learning moment, never appreciated the importance of KH to the cycle until it stopped!

Agreed which makes me think hybrid. I shouldn’t be allowed to go to the LFS unaccompanied!codheadjohn wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 11:03 am Doesn't look like Borelli or Agassizii to me. They are very similar to these, link within your link http://www.dwarfcichlid.com/Apistogramm ... _blue1.pdf
Nice looking fish either way

Re: And so it begins...!
Take it very slowly with the RO. ;) Sounds like you've done well. They MAY be a.borellii. ;) What are they supposed to be? If so, the other side of the Continent. :D Yep I’ve been going real steady with the RO I don’t want to induce sudden PH swings. They we listed as ap. Agassizii but after a chat...

Re: And so it begins...!
Ok, here they are! As I say I’m pretty sure they are a hybrid which ordinarily I’m not that interested in, but once I’d seen them.... The Male is about 1 1/2 inches and the female slightly less so they still have some growing to do. But they’re already very comfortable and relaxed in their new home....

Re: And so it begins...!
Little update! Other than the previously mentioned (in its own thread) poorly Neon, things are ticking over nicely. I’ve started with RO water and I’ve got some Catappa leaves in too. The Sterbai are everything that Stephen and others assured me they would be; elusive, occasionally manic, generally ...
