Plankton he has an algae covered anubius and some courgette. Loach forum on Facebook advised esha 2000 which they said is mild can be used full dose for loaches which I'm going to try 1st.
He's hanging in there and moving around a little so hope the meds arrive tomorrow in time

Re: Poorly Fish
Nope he just preferred calmer areas. At that point was eating well, good colour, even came to front when he saw me coming to feed them in morning

Re: Poorly Fish
When I put higher flow in the tank he avoided it and stayed in calmer areas
I'm waiting for my surprise sewellia babies to grow in other tank as my intention is to set up a tank just for the hill streams.

Poorly Fish
My little gastromyzon is sick. He isn't eating and he's going pink underneath and very pale on top. Water parameters all good. All other fish fine. I've moved him into a 10 litre hospital tank and doing daily water changes. He got into a scuffle with false julii Cory over a spirulina flake beginning...

Re: New to fish keeping
@plankton is it possible for them to have hatched so far apart? The first fry are about 1.5 to 2cm long now while the 2 new ones are about 3-4mm

Re: New to fish keeping
@Vale! the first fry I found were on 8th December and they are well along the way so would that be too long ago for delayed hatching? I have seen 2 new teeny tiny fry now!

Re: New to fish keeping
I'm confused...I was checking my 2 gold ringed hillstream loach fry on New Years Day, both are doing fabulously well! They've grown loads, are very active and just starting to suck onto the glass for short periods of time but their 'butterfly wings' haven't fully formed yet. I was just pondering on ...

Re: How do you feed other fish with Cory?
BigBen All the fish seem to like bugbites, I have Vitalis for the Cory and spirulina pellets for the hillstream loach but piggy Cory dive on everything. The hillstream particularly don't seem to get a look in at the pellets I'm intending to move the hillstream to a different tank once the surprise ...
