Re: Purigen or filter floss.

I use both a polishing pad and purigen. Probably a bit overkill, but my water is crystal, so I’m happy. 👍

Re: Hardwater Shrimp

Cheers Plankton, I’ll likely try some vamps first. Interesting on the Neocaradina. I guess shrimps are a while new ball game!

Re: Zero Nitrate Reading

It’s normal now. I just read the tube too quickly. After 5 mins the colour changed from yellow to the more brown colour for the 5ppm.

Thanks very much BG.

Re: Zero Nitrate Reading

Correction, I may have been a bit quick there. The tube is somewhat darker and is now showing closer to 5ppm.
Out of curiosity though, would it have been a problem?

Zero Nitrate Reading

I’ve just done a water quality check and for the first time I’ve zeroed out on Nitrate which has never happened before. Normally it sits at 5.0ppm.
Ammonia and Nitrate are both zero as expected.
Should I be concerned about this?

Re: Hardwater Shrimp

What I hadn’t realised is that there are several types of Cherry shrimp called neocaradina shrimp of which Bloody Mary is just one.
