Hi, I was using Seachem Prime to condition my regular water changes but was gifted a bottle of API Aqua Essential. Noticed the pH drop and so I did some testing. Tap water sits 7.2. Tap water + AE hits 6.4. Thats tested using a 15L bucket of treated water and the 5ml test tubes, each treated with th...

Re: Are cories seasonal?
They are cute but I did some re-scaping tonight to get a clearer idea of how many there are. At least 30 fry at various stages. Most of them about half or a third of adult size. They live with a few male guppies and two honey gourami. Not really any apex predator around. Slightly alarming but will s...

Re: Cloudy water again!
Ihave now added a new internal filter - Fluval U4 Internal Filter and added some Clarity water clarifier - Seachem Clarity. Hopefully this final money spend will improve things? Im sure it will in the long run :) You cant buy patience though. As others have suggested it sounds like a bloom to me.

Re: Ph shifting
Thanks to the input from everyone I leaned into trusting the tank to balance itself. It was quite an interesting journey. I added some chilli rasbora briefly while working on something else and so managed it daily and kept a bit of a log. They werent in long but I kept up the routine anyway. I am fe...
