Re: Advice needed- breaking down tank

Thanks very much everyone!

I wish I had more time, but it turns out 5-month-old babies are full on (and wonderful)! One day I hope to return to the hobby - and back to this forum as everyone on here has always been so incredibly helpful.

Advice needed- breaking down tank

Hello everyone, I have been absent for a really long time! I hope everyone is well and has weathered the storm of 2020-2021. The last 18 months have been very challenging for me and my family; but in happy news most recently I had a baby in February... but as a result my free time is pretty much non...

Re: Lottie’s 60L

Ah thank you both. I'll do an aggressive trim next WC and look out for babies.

So nice not to be worrying about the fish this time!

Re: Lottie’s 60L

Hello all, Water change day today, pics below. All livestock is (platies, endlers, shrimp, nerites) doing really well but as alluded to earlier my Java Fern is having a bit of a nightmare. For the first year it was growing vigorously and needing plenty of trims but over the last 3 months it started ...

Re: Lottie’s 60L

Hello everyone, Wow - I've been away for MONTHS! Had some pretty heavy stuff to deal with offline, and now I've got a bit more time I thought I'd dip my toe back in the water/aquarium. I'm sure I've missed a lot... All stable and fine in the tank, tonnes of platy babies - not sure what I'll do with ...

Lottie’s 60L
Its so great to see them getting excited about food. I've tried these stick-on tabs several times but they never stick for me. The moment the fish start nibbling on it, it falls off.
Yep they’re tricky to get stuck into t...
Very nice Lottie :) I really like the colours on the one endler (the one who comes in from the left at the start), hes beautiful :)
Thank you! The endlers are so pretty, I love them. Their personalities on the other hand... ...

Feeding time in the tank tonight. You’ll see the blue shrimp try and get involved and if you watch carefully you’ll spot some of the newest fry too...

RE: Lottie’s 60L

It may be he got a little outcompeted, it could also be age, i noticed a few of mine hide/rest more and can loose a bit of weight when they got older. Hopefully he’ll perk up with less youngsters swimming about :)   Thanks - I'm thinking the same. There are no other signs of disease, so I'm wonderi...

RE: Lottie’s 60L

Tank looks so empty now that 12 of the juvenile platies have gone to their new home! Definitely got some pregnant females left so it won't be long before it's a busy and full tank. Now there's less activity in the tank I've noticed that my oldest male (purchased a year ago) is looking a bit skinnier...
