Is this guppy gravid?

Does this guppy look pregnant? I only feed them a pinch of food.once per day, so it's probably not eaten too much.

Just put a little pebble or an ornament on it. It does not root much so once you've got it hooked into place somewhere it'll just grow. A bit like a string of java moss..
Thanks, that's a good idea.

Weighing down/anchoring guppy grass...

Hi, at the moment, my guppy grass is free-floating but tends to get moved around in the flow caused by the water filter. What's the best way to bunch up and anchor/weigh down the plant? Can I wrap a strip of aquatic weight around the stems, for example?

I think it might be a platy. The colours can vary and i think all your other fish are egg scatterers not ones that lay them somewhere.
Many thanks for the reply.

Re: Can anyone identify this fry?

Edit, I did notice some whitish/grey "spit-like" deposit on the some of the plants recently, which were probably eggs (?).

Can anyone identify this fry?

Found this small fry in the tank today. It's pale, almost white in appearance, which is consistent with the colour of the danios. All the fry thus far have been easily identifiable (even at this tender age) as platy by their orange/black markings. Could it be a danio? The other fish in the tank are ...

Re: Hatchery questions (guppies)...

Glad I asked, because on the box, it shows the mum in the hatchery with the grid for the fry to fall through (pic 2 in the photo attached). When I've used the hatchery previously, it was for platy fry which I'd found in the main tank, netted them and put them in the hatchery for safety. https://i.po...

Hatchery questions (guppies)...

Hi, I'm fairly sure one of my guppies is pregnant. I have a plastic hatchery with a horizontal grid to separate the guppy from its fry. I'm just wondering if the guppy will try to eat the fry as soon as they are born. Also, do the fry tend to stay in the lower section of the hatchery once they're in...

As well as plants, how about a backing (I use black for community tanks as a rule) to hide the wires and make the colours in the tank stand out more?
Like it, good idea!
