What was causing my nitrates?

A natural result of the cycling process.

Hmmm....all the blurbs say “simply remove your tap aerator and screw in place”. Cannot remove my aerator, simply or otherwise 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. So i’d probably need something that locks in place over the tap, but of course I have those levers sticking out and only giving an inch of space 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. I’m ...

45, always good to have an odd number to make counting difficult. ;) Actually, with the drop-off rate of neons from shops being quite high, relatively speaking, it may be best to start with 50 to allow for problems. No they’re all silver apart from the dorsal fin! I just don’t remember ever having them but they’re clearly there!
Now I look at it full size they don't have the "bleeding heart" .

Body shape & dorsal fin markings are the same though

If in doubt when it comes to dosing in treat it as a British Gallon as then worst case is you're underdosing
