copper in ferts is usually ok with shrimp, but you can half dose if you are concerned. Its copper and zinc medications as these contain a higher level that is harmful to shrimp.

a nerite or amano shrimp will work well. Otto's do better in groups and bigger tanks

hydrogen peroxide will work but you'll need to leave it for a lot longer. I think liquid co2 works as well, but no idea how long you'd need to leave it.

Could be a combination of age and hardwater. They are sold when fully mature because of the finage, you never know if you're buying a 12 month or 3 year old fish.

I'm leaving it for now as I'm not sure how I want to the stocking to be. I might end up just leaving it with the harlequins in and tailor it more to them.
