Ok so would it be recommended I swap one of the 600's out for an fx6? Along with a powerhead or 2? My filter falls short of the 5x rule and everything is fine so far. Planning on adding more plants that suck up nitrates and add lava rock to increase the beneficial bacteria in the tank. A powerhead may sort the problem, but you will have to leave the tank pretty understocked with your current filtration. Oase 600 filter volume is 6.8 litres times two on this aquarium, so yes I would agree it's a tad underwhelming but OK with current stocking. This was why I ask your future plans. ...
