Re: Blue-Green Algae (Cyanobacteria) - please help
I've used the Ultralife Blue Green Slime Stain Remover and it works every time. Unfortunately it gets shipped from america and can be a bit expensive. I've not seen one called PureBlue though.

How long can fish go without food?
I'm going on holiday for two weeks. I usually feed twice a day and do a 75% water change once a week which seems to work well for me. Now i'm wondering if I use an autofeeder, the the tanks will become contaminated if they are not changed weekly. So I was wondering how long fish can go without food ...

UV Sterilizer?
Is it worth getting a uv sterilizer for a normal freshwater planted community aquarium. Are there any benefits? I know they are mainly used to clear green water, but I was wondering if there would be a reduction in other algal outbreaks and fish disease.

Mine are 30-40 from tap and I’ve not had any problems :) I have an overstocked Mbuna Malawi Cichlid tank and am always looking to reduce my nitrates. I'd like to do less frequent water changes to maintain more of a stable equilibrium in t...

High Nitrates in tap water
Hi I have high nitrate levels in my tap water, about 20 to 30ppm. I understand that is possible to reduce the nitrate level by using some kind of resin before I fill up my tank. Has anyone heard of this and if so how do i go about it.
Thanks
Thanks

Malawi Peacock with Tetras
I have very hard water from the tap in my area, around 7.8 Ph and was wondering if I could keep a Hap or Peacock Cichlid with my shoal of 12 African long finned tetras in my 240L tank. I know Malawi Cichlids are aggressive but would one on it's own be ok. Just asking?
