Elf and murder ...
#1
After reading the Sci-fi post I wondered if anyone was a reader of fantasy or crime fiction?
I first got hooked reading fantasy fiction with The Dragonbone chair by Tad Williams, and went on to read everything else he’d written at the time, pure escapism. My all time favourite though is Robin Hobb, who also writes as Megan Lindholm, plenty of elves, dragons, strange lands and their peoples.
On the crime front I suppose I began with Agatha Christie, went on through other great crime writers such as Ruth Rendall and Ian Rankin and am now reading Peter James’ Roy Grace books.
Anyone else read these?  Smile

I enjoy a good read, but I'm a very slow reader and can only concentrate for about 30 mins at a time now, so I can't be called an avid.
Stephen King, Anne Rice, J.R.R.Tolkein are among those I re-read from time-to-time.
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! Big Grin

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

Taken me over a year to read about 50 pages of a book. I just never feel like it.

I wish I had more time. I love reading. Always loved Tolkien for a bit of fantasy adventure. Currently enjoying Bernard Cornwell for some good history fun. Failing that it’ll be a history book via audible while working.
