BN Plec with swollen belly
#1
Just noticed tonight that out BN Plec has a swollen tummy.

He (or she, not sure which) has been a bit elusive over the last few days but has been out and about today a bit more. Also, he/she doesn’t seem to be pooping much lately compare to the norm. Could it be constipation? Is there anything I can do to help?

Will attempt to post some images...

Is anyone able to see the images above? They work on my phone but not on the PC for some reason... First time using the 'Imgur' option as I can never get the other way to work...

Do you feed fresh veg, like courgette?
If it is digestive, that will help. Crushed peas may be a quicker fix, but they should have fresh veg at least once a week. Wink
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! Big Grin

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

Mobiles are way too complicated for me, although I do have one now. Wink

Thanks fr499y & Ian. Yes I've been putting courgette out for him every couple of days and the odd algae wafer at similar intervals in between. He seems to have gone off the courgette though the last few days, but the wafers have gone. Maybe the wafers were a bad idea? I tried some cucumber last night but I don't think he touched it. He seems to be feeding off the glass and bogwood though. I'll try some crushed peas.

He's a juvenile, about ~1.5 inches long.

could just be bloated or eyes bigger than its belly Smile try some sweet pepper. Cucumber has no real nutrient value for them as its mostly water.

Ok, good idea. Just a regular capsicum? It should stay in one piece a bit longer too!
