I'm pleased to report that the repair has worked ; there is dryness under the bath!

The water has cleared nicely and more than plenty Daphnia have survived their experience.

While I was initially clearing the bath I took the opportunity to remove some hair-type algae from the bottom to a separate container. There's not a lot of it, but it's full of blackworms which I want to save. Separating one from the other is a long and tedious process and is likely to take several days, on and off. I've set up a worm-separation station in front of the telly!
