Jens Tanks
#1
Since this is no longer Bobs house thought I’d start a new thread.

Couple of random pictures from the oddball community tank

It’s appears my yellow gourami has developed a black stripe and is actually female yay, one of the little ember tetras photobombing .
Emerald eyes are still going strong, so hardy these guys, they’ve survived a tank change, a cycle crash etc, my first tropical fish, can’t find them anymore, sometimes fishkeeper has a couple in but they’re always snatched up

Here’s Hank, still teeny tiny but starting to throw his weight about, bulldozes his way through all the other fish to get to food.
Bert below, one half of the happy couple, well when Bertha is in a good mood & not kicking his butt

My tank seems so quiet, I’ve been watching them all chase each other about for too long I forgot what it looked like to have them all swimming peacefully.
That’s the male honey gourami & the last eight banded false barb have gone to a young lad who’s just started tropical fishkeeping, his dad brought him and was telling me he has marine tanks.
Seriously though the wee fella was asking me a ton of questions haha, I was quite impressed.

So thought I was onto a winner today, there’s a guy selling a Juwel 180 just down the road from me, great price, fairly new, messaging back & forth but he wouldn’t answer my questions about the fish that already reside in the tank but had said they all have to be sold as one.......but he keeps asking what time can I collect the tank, I’m like I’m not collecting until I know what fish you have just in case they don’t mix well, eventually he gets back to me & tells me there’s guppies & danios with 1 big fish, honestly head in my hands at this point. I was like what is the big fish, I don’t want to make the journey for it to be a wasted trip, eventually I get a text back, it’s a Koi Carp......
I’ll keep looking....
