Is my fish full of eggs or just overweight?

What is the tank water temperature. ?
The danios and white clouds prefer cooler water temperatures, 20/21C is fine long-term.

All the best

There's no heater in the tank, it's just at room temperature In the main living room. I would say about 23c.

OK Smile

As long as the room is 18C you should be fine (otherwise may require a heater if the temp drops too much during Autumn/Winter).

The other one seem to look a bit the same. Could it be an overfed gravid female ?

I'm a newcomer to keeping fish. I think I might be overfeeding. For the 8 fish in the tank, I am feeding at 8am and 8pm, each time a good pinchful between index finger and thumb. Is that too much?

I would say so yes.
I would reduce feeding to once a day, and then only a small pinch. As a guide for small fish feed them the same amount as the size of their eyes, this is just a guide to prevent over feeding. Other issues can arise from over feeding as uneaten food can and will rot down and can cause spikes in ammonia, as well as bloating and swim bladder issues.

When feeding my tetras with flake (not often) I give a good pinch once a day but I do have 68 tetras.
I also crumble the flake down to almost a powder.

Another way of getting the correct amount of food is to buy the JBL Novo Granules mini "Click".
It is a dispenser with mini granules, one click feeds 5 fish.
Click it twice in to your hand and see the amount (that feeds 10 fish), feed once a day.

Danios don't do well with flake, it tends to gum up the digestive systems.
I'd get granules/small pellets for them after the starve days and crushed pea (don't feed anything else with the pea Wink ).
If at first you don't succeed....

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

Is that one pea for the 8 fish? One pea per day?

I'm not even sure you need a whole pea for 8 fish, maybe a half. Crush it as you pop it in after blanching it and removing the "skin".

Update: reducing the amount I feed and only feeding once a day has had a very good effect. Fish look healthier and even the bloated one look more normal now. Thanks all.
