Cwtch is a Welsh word for a loving/affectionate cuddle or safe place, it used to be used (as Mikey more or less said) as a storage/cupboard to keep things safe but nowadays its just used on the cuddle basis.
My OH had never heard of it before meeting me, she loves a cwtch now

quite simply its one of the best words ever
