i've noticed my plants are starting to change colour. Green to Brown. please see pic below as one example

Why do you think that it? roots have not taken and are dying? the cycle is affecting them, it's Autumn under water? not enough plant food etc?

Very puzzling. Possibly spent too much time worrying about the health of the fish i may have missed a step with the plant. Their roots are planted in the sand. Some of them had Tetra Crypto tablets under root but some didn't. Not sure if this is without. All receive 3 drops per day of Plant boost. Temp of water is 22.3, lowered as per advice from previous post.

Thanks in advance for any help.

It looks a bit like ludwigia of some variety, and they often have red leaves under the right conditions. So it might be that.
Many plants do seem to change colour when they’ve been grown out of water and then moved into a tank, so that’s another possibility.
If it rubs off then it’s diatoms.

If it’s otherwise looking healthy and growing new leaves, i’d not worry too much

That looks like ludwigia repens maybe.

Either way congratulations! What you have there is nothing to worry about and something to be pleased about, it’s not brown it’s red and it means you’re doing ok.

Thanks for the advice all. I fee a bit daft now, i hadn't even thought to check the web. The plant species is Ammania gracilis according to the tag. I only bought it last week. Having googled it,the pictures are all of entirely red plants, so you are all right, it's red not brown and i've got nothing to worry about.
