Hi.
I recently upgraded one of my tropical tanks to a Hugo Kamishi ryujin. Looks lovely and am particularly impressed with the integrated filter and heater sections at the back.
Just one minor observation ... understandably, the glass lid has condensation on the underside. Is there any fish-safe coating that could be applied to stop the water balling up so much ?
Thanks.

As far as I'm aware no. All applications that can prevent this are lethal to aquatic life.

Nope nothing will work and be safe. Also the plant on left isn’t aquatic.

I hadn't noticed that.

That's a Cordyline fruticosa which comes from South East Asia. Can be grown as a house plant but doesn't do well with cooler temperatures.

@puffin you need to remove it as it will rot (you can see some to the leaves starting to)

You can grow it externally with the roots or lower stem submerged in water of the aquarium. :]

What fish do you have and what temp is the tank at? If the tank is running a lot warmer than the room temp then the condensation will be worse.
On the tank I run at 22C I hardly get any condensation, but the warmer ones I get more.
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

Thanks for the education. I hadn't realised. My LFS (who I've used for years) regularly has these plants in its tropical plant tanks. Bought them in the past with no issues.

Orange balloon mollies (third generation).
Water is always at 26 deg. C.

Well, you could go down to 24C, but I wouldn't go any lower than that with orange mollies.
