Thanks so much.
TBH it was an uphill battle will three tanks, as far the care of the fish and snails.
Like any hobby with live animals and plants I had to battle on as you do lol.
in-between daily feeding and water changes (the big tank has suffered) it was getting my sorry bones out of bed.
But beats a Hospital stay as norm the case...
Anyway enough of the illness milarky..up to business at hand.
The big tank has went through a transformation with two sides and back having green algae....that was on purpose to see what'll look like and benefit the tank in general.
Then as you can imagine the cycle went into black algae, briefly with red & back to black as it is now.
Mainly on the plants and the wood caves.
As we see the tank (a video inbound later the day!) obv. need new plants...and the wood sorted matbe removal of the algae.
Been looking at the lightly forms of the algae, everything from the circulation, lighting etc.
But as you know not an expert so I can only ask your help, and suggestions to get rid of the algea.
ATM, water changes twice a week and lighting down to 6 hours a day.
In fact guys n girls, I've had my get n go tablets and I will shoot a vid just us guys n girls....then you can see first hand.
Be a three tank update, (you saw the snail tank the other day)
Sorry about the lighting and dodgy camera work.
Off to edit the vid, and a link coming very soon, worts and all lol.
Once again thank you very much.

If the lighting and water changes don't sort it, try a 4 day blackout (cover with a blanket or something) and don't remove the cover even for feeding. The fish will be ok.
If that doesn't clear it, spot dose hydrogen peroxide (3% or 6%, no stronger), being careful not to get it directly onto any fish (or snails).
