Added a Inkbird ITC-306TA With lower (ie turn heaters on) temp initially set at 24.5c and upper (ie turn heaters off) temp at 27.5c at approx 17:00 last night. Starting temp was 28.8 (heaters are set for approx 29), came down this morning and the heaters were off as the temp has only dropped by around 3 degrees to 25.5 over a 12/13 hr period, which is nice :)

Careful with it as some plants hate it and others dont mind. Works well as an algaecide if nothing else :)

18 1/2 hours since the heating went off and it's still at 24.8.

At this rate of heat loss the heating will likely only be on once a day, possibly less on average.

NB one of the reasons I've set it up this way is that in the wild the temps wont be a constant value of X so my thinking is to run it so the tank operates across a range that all the fish will be happy with.

So it clicked back on at around 13:00, lets see how long it takes to come back to target temperature

Well that's taken just over 6 hours to raise the temp by three degrees
