I find myself enjoying the more basic, natural, low tech aquariums more and more. So i've decided to convert the nano into a Poecilia Wingei biotope.
I already have most of the hardscape ( apart from a few thin branches ) and nearly all of the current flora is a perfect fit.
Equipment
24" x 8" x 8" Aquarium
50w Eheim heater
Hydor Prime 10 Filter - DIY filter pipes
DIY Lighting with Sunrise - Sunset control
Hardscape
Twigs - mainly birch, a few manzanita branches that i've cut up to use as the thicker fallen litter
Rounded rocks - only a couple as a base layer
River sand
Leaf Litter
Nano Cappata
Small Oak
Alder cones
Flora
Sagittaria Subula ( If i can locate it under all the crypts in the other tank! )
Vallisneria ( maybe, depends on how it looks )
Fauna
Poecilia Wingei

Will you stop doing this!
I keep looking at the empty Juwel 60 litre upstairs, thinking maybe I should keep the last Endlers I have after all, then say to myself ...NO.
