Just spotted my first ever shrimp baby! Can you see it?

That's quite a good size already. There might even be more in there, tiny white little critters...hours of fun trying to spot them :D

I'm guessing about 2 weeks maybe 3 ric. 3 shrimp were berried at the same time. I think the kitchen tank will be getting a treat.

Andy do you have to hoover your grass much? If u did it all again, would you still plant grass?

Not really Ruth. I swirl the syphon over it while I'm doing a water change. 6 sterbai corydoras and the shrimp do the rest.

Yeah I'd do it again. Although I'd probably use a couple extra pots and plant it thicker. It wasnt in at the start either, I added it a couple of weeks after the fish went in.

Right - I like the look of the grass. Promise I’ll try not to make mine a replica of yours!! I do like your rocks tho and the root!! What is it they say? Something like copying someone is the highest form of a compliment!! 🤣🤣

You do whatever you like ruth. This is my first tank I've set up properly. I saw a photo of a tank on intagram and copied it best I could.

Plus if you did copy my log would more or less be instructions. :cool:

Stan got a new plant in his tank this weekend. The java fern in there was dying off, I dont think it liked being in the flow of the spray bar so I've swapped it for a bolbitis plant instead.

Big water change and rinsed the media and filter sponge in tank water yesterday while I was on.
