Sorry for your loss.
Was the pop-eye caused by damage or water retention could you tell?
I'm always a bit suspect of new additions if there's a problem immediately after.
Switching Stock, worth the hassle or not?

Both eyes were bulging and it looked to be breathing rapidly?
When I found it dead the other fish were eating at it
It couldn't be something like a reaction to medication after I was dosing esha treatment for flukes?

Maybe, it can be better to half-dose with some fish.

After watching for a while I'm not convinced Any of this crew like each other . 3 Bolivians have all claimed their own spot at each point of the tank and the keyhole seems to be swimming around getting aggro from them. Holding his/her own though. Speaking of which, can anyone tell if the keyhole is male or female or is it still too young tell?

This is why I don't keep cichlids, I haven't got the patience to sort males/females and prefer a nice, peaceful tank.
I have no idea if the keyhole is male or female.
Are the Bolivians getting on with each other as they have their own territory?

The Bolivians are being typical Bolivians sticking to their own individual territory, having the odd pop at each other, then swimming around each other, they definitely want to be centre stage. The keyhole I get the feeling just wants to be involved, sometimes he/she is tolerated, then gets chased off, but comes back for more

Things have mellowed out a bit, still a little sparring here & there but it's calmed down thankfully, 4 of them seem more social now maybe just the stress of the move.Sixo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 8:41 am The Bolivians are being typical Bolivians sticking to their own individual territory, having the odd pop at each other, then swimming around each other, they definitely want to be centre stage. If the Angel aka 'The Dark Passenger' turns out to be a menace and I take it back do you think there's anything I should swap it for or think that should be more than ample stocking as it is?Sixo wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 14:53 pmFound some Bolivian Rams, last 3 in the shop, interesting development though a young angelfish has found its way into the bag, will need to watch it closely as it grows to make sure it doesn't start nibbling my cardinals. Shop says I can take it back if need be.
Sitting right now with:
2 Honey Gourami
1 Surprise Baby Angelfish
20 Cardinal Tetra
5 Albino Cory
3 Bolivian Rams
1 Keyhole Cichilid
1 Albino BN Plec (Dave)

I wouldn't bother replacing it with anything if you need to go that way.
